Mono Printing

Mono Printing

Adult Printmaking and collage

A workshop exploring mark making, texture and drawing through the medium of mono printing . Students learnt how to produce printed drawings using both positive and negative line work, combined with mark making in the ink to achieve varying textures. Students also experimented with incorporating collage elements into their prints, including the Chine collé technique.

Printmaking in action. Students are using mark making techniques to create their image.

After the first day of learning all the various printing and collage techniques, students were then asked to use them in combination to produce a piece of work.

Thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Printing and collage techniques.
It was so satisfying experimenting with all the different mark making techniques. The collaging was a really effective way of adding colour quickly too.
